This thing looks kind of funny, but it gets the job done. It works like any other cordless-tool charger; you put the battery on it, and it charges it.This thing charges the batteries pretty quickly -- and the batteries last long enough that the one in the cradle can easily charge before I've run out of juice on the second battery. It features lights to tell you what it's doing (charging, trickle/maintaining, or charged), it beeps when the battery is ready, and the cord is very long (6 feet or so). so it's easy to hide the charger under a desk or something or route the cord around things.
works as claimed. kind of a lot of shelf space for the job it does.
I prefer to wall mount my cordless chargers in my workshop it keeps them cleaner and makes them easier to find. This charger seems to work as well as any of the more expensive units I own. That is the only improvement I can think of for this charger. It charges fast and doesn't seem to produce any excessive heat. It does not have mounting holes so it can be wall mounted. As it is it functions well. I am very pleased with it.
it clearly tells you want it is doing, and what it means by the blinking which is labled on the charger. it feels like it is good quality. i did get one of my three i ordered defective, but amazon got me a replacemnt with next day shipping so i am very pleased with amazon as well as the denali line of tools. again these are for a homeowner not a contractor, but the price is so good they might as well be disposable tools.
I had to buy this charger when I bought the Denali cordless vac. The battery slides on and off easily, and charges REALLY fast. I don't recommend you keep it plugged it as it can get very warm even w/ out a battery charging in it.
